Table of Contents
Since Avada registers its own Portfolio post type and taxonomies, it is conflicting with our Portfolio post type. When Avada Core is installed, you will not longer see the Categories menu item:
You have 3 options:
- Disable Portfolio post type registered by Avada plugin
- Disable Portfolio post type registered by Visual Portfolio plugin
- Use both portfolio post types
Disable Avada Portfolio
Open Avada → Options → Advanced → Post Types and turn off the Avada Portfolio option:
Then click on the Save Changes button and refresh the page. You will now see the Categories link in the Visual Portfolio menu:
Disable Visual Portfolio post type
Open Visual Portfolio → Settings → General and turn off the Register Portfolio Post Type option:
Then click on the Save Changes button. All the portfolio post links will be removed from the Visual Portfolio menu:
Use both Portfolio post types
You can still use both portfolio post types, but there is a little conflict – Categories of Visual Portfolio post type will be placed in Avada’s Portfolio menu:
